Vigilance Raids Subarnapur District CSO
On Wednesday, vigilance raided the house of Subarnapur District Chief Supply Officer (CSO) Suresh Panigarahi on charges of misappropriation of non-income assets. Shri Panigrahi's rented house in Sonepur, own office, residence and relative's house in Tulasinagar, Balangir, father's house in Balanda village, Bargarh district, rented house and relatives' rented house in Bhubaneswar Patia, relative's rented house in , Gangadhar sahi , Bargarh, brother's brick factory (Flyas ash Bricks Factory) in Balanda, Bargarh Bijepur Thana A total of 11 places were raided, including his brother's petrol pump and a relative's house in Balanda. In the investigation conducted so far, Mr. Panigarahi has a two-storied building and another building in Tulasinagar, Balangir.
Similarly, Vigilance found that he has 19 plots. There are 3 plots in important areas of Bhubaneswar, 4 plots in Sambalpur city, one in Balangir city, one in Bargarh city, 4 plots in Balanda village and 6 plots in Bijepur. A 4 acre farmhouse with 500 shaguan trees has also been built in Balanda. Apart from this, he has 1 crore 72 lakh 35 thousand 946 rupees in bank, postal, insurance and mutual fund deposits. During the investigation, cash of Rs. 1 lakh 49 thousand was also recovered from him. A petrol pump and a JCB excavator named after his brother have been installed in Bargarh Pahandi. Mr. Panigarahi also has a locker in the State Bank of Balangir.
However, the Vigilance Department has informed that the amount of assets may increase further as the investigation is ongoing.
