Himalaya BabyCare Launches #HarKadamHarMaakeSath Campaign for World Breastfeeding Week

A moving tribute to every mother’s right to feed her baby in comfort and confidence, anytime, anywhere.

Mumbai : Himalaya BabyCare, India’s No.1 doctor-prescribed baby care brand, unveils a heartwarming DVC film to mark the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week. The campaign titled ‘#HarKadamHarMaakeSath’ draws attention to often overlooked challenges mothers face while breastfeeding in public due to the lack of privacy and a supportive environment. Inspired by the thought that amother’s comfort and confidence shouldn’t end at her home’s doorstep, Himalaya BabyCare aims to transform this experience for millions of mothers across India .

The film captures a mother serenely feeding her baby and humming a lullaby in the comfort of her home. As the scene gradually transitions to public places like metro stations, airports, malls, and bus stops, her confidence wavers, her voice falters, and her posture stiffens, reflecting the common problem experienced by mothers. Statistics reveal that one in three mothers experiences discomfort while feeding their babies at new locations. This often results in babies missing out on proper nourishment due to the scarcity of safe and private feeding spaces. The film then depicts the mother entering a serene Himalaya Happy Feeding Room, where her posture relaxes, her voice regains its calm, and her lullaby is once again full of peace and confidence.

Over the past 13 years, Himalaya BabyCare has installed more than 500 thoughtfully designed breastfeeding rooms across India, including at airports, railway stations, hospitals, and other public locations, providing mothers with access to private, clean, and safe spaces to feed their babies.

Speaking on the campaign, Mr. Chakravarthi N V, Director – BabyCare, Himalaya Wellness Company, said: “At Himalaya BabyCare, our commitment goes beyond product care, it’s about supporting mothers emotionally, physically, and socially. With #HarKadamHarMaakeSath, we wanted to give voice to what so many mothers feel but rarely say. Every lullaby should be sung in comfort. Through our 500+ Happy Feeding Rooms, we aim to bring mothers closer to that peace, wherever they are.”

As part of the initiative, Rs.5 from the sale of every pack of Himalaya Baby Soap, Lotion & Cream contributes to building hygienic breastfeeding rooms for moms.  With over 5.5 million mothers using these facilities each year, the brand’s mission is to make breastfeeding easily accessible to more mothers across India.

The campaign #HarKadamHarMaakeSath is launched across Himalaya BabyCare’s digital and social media platforms during the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week (August 1–7).
