AU Small Finance Bank enhances road safety in Bhubaneswar with Four New Police Booths

Bhubaneswar : As part of its commitment to road safety and community welfare, AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB), India’s largest small finance bank, has extended its support to the Bhubaneswar Traffic Police by installing four fully equipped police booths across some of the city’s busiest junctions. This initiative, undertaken under the Bank’s CSR program, aims to improve traffic management, on-ground enforcement, and promote safer commuting experiences for the public.

The newly inaugurated booths are strategically located at Kesura Chowk, Garage Chowk, Palasuni and Rajmahal Square – critical intersections that experience heavy vehicular movement daily. Each booth is equipped with essential amenities such as seating arrangements, fans, and public announcement systems. These facilities will aid traffic personnel in improving real-time traffic monitoring, responding more quickly to violations and emergencies, and strengthening public messaging around road safety practices.

This initiative in Bhubaneswar follows similar partnerships with traffic police departments in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, where AU SFB has supported basic infrastructure upgrades to assist law enforcement and civic administration.

Through this effort, AU SFB reiterates its commitment to creating safer and more efficient roads in urban, semi-urban and rural areas, reinforcing its belief in being a responsible and community-focused institution.

AU Foundation, its CSR arm, consistently focuses on three key areas: Skill Development and Placement Assistance, Grassroots Sports Development, and Women Empowerment. AU Ignite has trained 29,500+ youth across 16 academies, achieving 22,000+ job placements. Bano Champion Program has impacted 8,000+ rural children through sports training with 90 coaches at 60+ locations in Rajasthan. AU Udyogini has empowered 4,000+ women across 33 districts in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, AU Kartavya addresses diverse social needs, including healthcare, education, environment, and community development.
