Amidst a selection of 100 films for the esteemed festival, 'Delivery Boy' stands out as a representative of Odisha's cinematic prowess. The screening is scheduled for August 2024.
The cast and crew of the movie were overwhelmed with joy upon learning of their film's inclusion at Cannes. Directed by Ashwin Tripathy and produced by Jyotiranjan Mohanty, 'Delivery Boy' premiered in Odisha on April 7, 2023. It later graced theaters in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and New Delhi.
The Odisha government's recognition of the film's significance led to its tax-free status. 'Delivery Boy' portrays the journey of a delivery boy seeking justice after a road accident, thereby promoting road safety awareness.
