Ink thrown at OPCC President Sarat Pattanayak at Congress Bhawan

Bhubaneswar, June 21: Ink was thrown at Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Sarat Pattanayak at Congress Bhawan on Friday.
According to sources, Pattanayak was working in his chamber at Congress Bhawan when a group of youths burst in and hurled a bottle of ink at him before fleeing the scene. Several senior Congress leaders quickly gathered at Congress Bhawan to discuss the incident with Pattanayak. The motive behind the ink attack remains unclear.
It is speculated that the ink was thrown by dissatisfied Congress workers upset over alleged irregularities in the distribution of tickets for the General Elections to Assembly and Lok Sabha seats.
Speaking to the media after the incident, Pattanayak said, "I have been active in politics since my student days and have experienced many ups and downs. This is part of the political landscape. There is no need to be frightened. We plan to address several issues against the government, which may have prompted some miscreants to throw ink at me. God bless them."
