Aditya Srivastava claims top spot, Odisha's Animesh Pradhan shines in UPSC Civil Services 2023 results
Bhubaneswar, April 16: On Tuesday, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the Civil Services Mains examination for the year 2023. Aspirants who participated in the exam can view the merit list on the official website, upsc.gov.in.
According to reports, the UPSC Civil Services 2023 results show a predominance of male candidates, with Aditya Srivastava securing the top spot with All India Rank (AIR) 1. Following closely are Animesh Pradhan and Donuru Ananya Reddy, securing the second and third ranks respectively, as confirmed by UPSC.
A total of 1,016 candidates have successfully cleared the examination and are now recommended for various central government services, as announced by UPSC. The Civil Services Exam, conducted annually in three stages - preliminary, main, and interview - aims to select candidates for prestigious roles such as Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
Meanwhile, UPSC has noted that the candidature of 355 recommended candidates remains provisional.
