Odisha braces for dense fog and changing temperatures

Bhubaneswar, Jan 25: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts the likelihood of dense fog in one or two locations across several districts in Odisha, including Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Sonepur, Nayagarh, Boudh, and Cuttack within the next 24 hours. A 'Yellow Warning' has been issued for these districts.
Additionally, there is a forecast for shallow to moderate fog in a few places in the interior of Odisha and one or two places along the coastal districts in the next 24 hours.
In terms of precipitation, light rain is expected in one or two locations in Gajapati, Ganjam, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, and Kalahandi, while dry weather is anticipated in the remaining districts of Odisha during the same period.
Furthermore, the minimum temperature (night temperature) is projected to decrease by 2°C-3°C over many places in Odisha in the next 48 hours, with no significant change thereafter.
