Truck driver charred in crash on Bangiriposhi Ghat
Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: In a tragic incident on Thursday morning, a collision between a truck and an oil tanker on National Highway No 49 at Bangiriposhi Ghat in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district resulted in the truck driver being fatally burned. The driver of the oil tanker also suffered severe burn injuries in the accident.
Another truck driver is reportedly trapped within the wreckage of the vehicles. Following the collision, both vehicles overturned on the roadside, leading to a blockage of vehicular movement on the Bangiriposhi Ghat road.
Regrettably, the truck driver lost his life on the spot, and the oil tanker was engulfed in flames, turning into ashes.
As of the latest update, Fire Services personnel are actively working to extinguish the persistent flames. The Bangiriposhi police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
