Naveen initiates land distribution to alleviate long-standing grievances

Bhubaneswar, Dec 14: In a proactive measure to tackle persistent land-related issues affecting residents across various regions of the state, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik initiated a comprehensive land distribution program today.
The initiative, designed to address prolonged land disputes, commenced in the Lakhnapur Tehsil of Jharsuguda district, where local residents have grappled with land-related challenges for several years. VK Pandian, Chairman of the 5T initiative, played a crucial role in expediting the resolution process during his recent visit in August.
A total of 7 villages in Jharsuguda Tehsil witnessed the distribution of land titles to 866 families, marking a significant stride in resolving their longstanding land-related predicaments. Additionally, 11 more villages are slated to receive land titles shortly, benefiting approximately 1339 families.
During a video conference organized for the occasion, Chief Minister Patnaik underscored that the distribution of land titles is a crucial component of the state government's commitment to resolving issues faced by the common people. He expressed satisfaction with the program's success, affirming the government's unwavering dedication to ensuring the well-being and success of its citizens.
Highlighting the government's proactive stance, Chief Minister Patnaik announced that, beyond Jharsuguda, a substantial land distribution initiative has been launched in the Sorada Tehsil of Ganjam district. Currently, 22 villages in Sorada Tehsil, with records dating back to 1983 in the Water Resources Department, are undergoing settlement processes.
Acknowledging the progress made, Chief Minister Patnaik assured residents that the government remains steadfast in its commitment to resolving land-related challenges. He emphasized that the government's unwavering dedication to citizen welfare is evident in the swift implementation of the 5T program.
