Odisha's new Governor, Raghubar Das, seeks blessings at Srimandir ahead of swearing-in ceremony

Bhubaneswar, Oct 30: Raghubar Das, the newly appointed Governor of Odisha, made his inaugural visit to the revered city of Puri on Monday as he prepared for his swearing-in ceremony. Upon his arrival, he extended his prayers to the Holy Trinity at the renowned Srimandir.
Following his arrival in the sacred town, Das proceeded to the Raj Bhawan, where he was warmly received by Puri District Collector Samarth Verma and Superintendent of Police Kanwar Vishal Singh at the railway station. Subsequently, he paid his respects at the Shree Jagannath Temple, seeking blessings from the sibling deities.
As per his itinerary, Governor Das is scheduled to depart for Bhubaneswar at approximately 12:15 PM and will be accommodated at the Raj Bhavan. The official swearing-in ceremony is set to transpire at the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar at 11:45 AM on Tuesday. Prior to the ceremony, Das has planned to offer his respects at the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar.
Addressing the media, Governor Das expressed his elation, stating, "I feel extremely delighted to have the opportunity to serve the people of Odisha. Today, I sought the blessings of Lord Jagannath, the divine guardian of the people of this state. I offered prayers for the well-being of the people, and my foremost commitment is to serve the citizens of Odisha. Lord Jagannath has guided me to this path of service, and I assure that the doors of Raj Bhavan will always remain open for the people of the state."
