Vigilance Nabs Kalahandi Marketing Inspector
Sumanta Mallik, Marketing Inspector(MI), Thana Rampur Block, Dist-Kalahandi has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.14,000/- from a Complainant for processing his application and others for inclusion of their Ration Cards under "Antyodaya Scheme".
The entire bribe money has been recovered from exclusive possession of accused Sri Mallik and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Mallik from DA angle. In this connection, Koraput Vigilance PS Case No. 32 Dt. 03.10.2023 U/s 7 P.C Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Mallik, MI.
As per the complainant, Mallik demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs. 14,000 to process applications to include ration cards under the ‘Antyodaya Scheme.’
