Bhubaneswar, April 19: Veteran journalist Ratikant Mohanty passed away at the age of 70 after battling illness for the past few years. He is survived by his wife, Sipra Mohanty, and two daughters, Puja and Bandana.
Widely respected for his unwavering commitment to truth, integrity, and public service, Ratikant began his journalism journey with Dinalipi, one of Odisha’s leading newspapers. Known for his fearless reporting and sharp insight, he quickly became a trusted voice among readers.
He later joined Paryabekhyak, where his analytical pieces and grassroots-level reporting earned him accolades. His writings were not only informative but also empathetic—giving a platform to the marginalized and shedding light on the real struggles of everyday people.
