Class IX student found dead in hostel; suicide note raises new questions

Bhubaneswar. March 27: A fresh twist has emerged in the tragic death of a Class IX student, whose body was found hanging in her hostel room at Udala Anwesha Hostel in Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday.
During the forensic investigation, officials discovered a suicide note in which the student mentioned her romantic relationship. She also clarified that no one, including hostel authorities, was responsible for her death. However, the student’s family has expressed doubts, claiming they were unaware of any such note.
Following the incident, panic spread among hostel inmates, leading to a mass exodus. Around 170 students vacated the hostel the same night, leaving parents deeply concerned about the safety and security of their children. Allegations of inadequate security measures have surfaced, with parents urging authorities to strengthen hostel supervision.
Police have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, examining all possible angles, including the circumstances surrounding the suicide note. Authorities are expected to review security protocols at the hostel to ensure student safety and prevent such tragedies in the future.
