Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: A five-year-old boy and his father lost their lives in a tragic road accident at Sikharpur in Cuttack on Saturday, when the bike they were traveling on collided with a speeding truck.

According to sources, the mother was also on the bike and sustained injuries in the crash. The critically injured father-son duo was immediately rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital, but despite medical efforts, both succumbed to their injuries.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, the grieving wife, who lost both her husband and son in the accident, was seen wailing uncontrollably on the roadside, leaving onlookers heartbroken.

The truck driver responsible for the accident fled the scene, leaving the victims behind. Sikharpur police have taken the bodies into custody and launched an investigation to track down the driver and determine the exact cause of the accident.
