Night temperatures to drop further across Odisha, says IMD
Bhubaneswar, Dec 11: The night temperature in Odisha is expected to drop further over the next three days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The mercury may dip by 2°C to 4°C in several parts of the state, signaling an intensification of cold conditions.
Regions including Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Khurda, and Sundargarh are likely to experience light to moderate fog, impacting visibility during early morning hours. The IMD also predicts a shift in the prevailing weather patterns, with cloudy skies expected to clear from Wednesday, leading to a sharper drop in temperatures.
While most parts of Odisha are anticipated to witness dry weather conditions, coastal areas might still see patches of cloud cover. With clearer skies and cooler nights on the horizon, residents in affected districts are advised to prepare for chilly mornings and intensified winter conditions. These changes mark the onset of Odisha's colder winter phase, influencing daily routines and travel plans.
