Home Minister Amit Shah arrives in Bhubaneswar for DG/IG conference

Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Bhubaneswar on Friday to participate in the three-day DG/IGP Conference. He was warmly received at the Biju Patnaik International Airport by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, along with other senior leaders.
After his arrival, Shah proceeded to Lok Seva Bhawan in a carcade to inaugurate the conference. The event is being attended by police chiefs from various states, union territories, and top security agencies.
Before departing for Bhubaneswar, Shah highlighted the importance of the conference, which will address emerging internal security challenges. “The conference, presided over by PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, will delve into strengthening Bharat’s security against evolving threats,” he posted on his official X handle.
Scheduled from November 29 to December 1, the conference will focus on critical security issues such as Counter Terrorism, Left-Wing Extremism, Coastal Security, New Criminal Laws, and Narcotics. The event will also include the presentation of the President’s Police Medal for distinguished service.
