Bhubaneswar, Sept 8: President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik today extended their warm greetings to the people of Odisha, especially the farmers, on the occasion of the Nuakhai festival.

President Murmu conveyed her heartfelt wishes to the people of Odisha through an X post, highlighting Nuakhai as a significant agrarian festival. She emphasized the importance of this occasion in expressing gratitude to the farming community and wished that the festival brings happiness and prosperity to all.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shared his greetings on ‘X’. He wrote, "Nuakhai Juhar! My best wishes on the special occasion of Nuakhai. We express our gratitude to our hardworking farmers and appreciate their contributions to our society. May everyone be blessed with joy and good health."

Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, who visited Sambalpur in western Odisha to offer prayers to Maa Samalei on the occasion of Nuakhai, also extended his greetings to the farmers and prayed for their well-being.

Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik, in a video message, wished the people of Odisha, especially those in the western region, happiness and prosperity during the Nuakhai festival, with a special focus on the farmers' welfare.
