Two dead after bike accident in Mayurbhanj
Bhubaneswar, Aug 19: In the early hours of Monday, a tragic accident near the Chitrada-Dantiamunha road under Morada police jurisdiction in Mayurbhanj district resulted in the deaths of two young individuals.
According to reports, the accident occurred when a bike carrying the riders lost control, collided with a roadside palm tree, and subsequently plunged into a nearby pond.
Local residents discovered the bike in the pond this morning and immediately informed the Chitrada Forest Range officer. In response, police and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
The fire brigade retrieved the bodies from the pond and transported them to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The police have seized the bike and have begun an investigation into the incident. The identities of the deceased are yet to be determined.
