Two youths killed by Puri-Howrah Express in Balasore
Bhubaneswar, July 9: In a tragic incident, two youths lost their lives after being struck by a train in Balasore district of Odisha, according to reports on Tuesday. The incident occurred near the Dandharipur railway gate.
The youths were reportedly hit by the Puri-Howrah Express. Their identities are yet to be confirmed. According to available information, the two youths arrived on a bike late last night when the railway gate was closed.
One of the youths suddenly ran in front of the train, and the other youth rushed to save him. Unfortunately, the superfast express train hit both of them, resulting in their deaths.
Locals discovered the dismembered bodies near the Dandharipur railway gate this morning and informed the Government Railway Police (GRP). The GRP arrived, recovered the bodies, and sent them for autopsy. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
