Kalbaisakhi brings relief from heatwave in Odisha, rain forecasted for next three days

Bhubaneswar, May 9: Odisha is set to experience a continuation of the refreshing relief brought by Kalbaisakhi, with similar weather patterns expected over the next three days, as per forecasts from the regional Meteorological department. Various regions of the state are anticipated to receive rainfall under the influence of Kalbaisakhi.
In light of the predicted rainfall and thunderstorms, a yellow warning has been issued for several districts, including Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Rayagada, and Koraput.
The impact of Kalbaisakhi is anticipated to persist across Odisha until May 13, prompting alerts from the regional meteorological department to various districts. After enduring prolonged heatwave conditions, Odisha has been experiencing relief from the scorching heat since May 6.
Expectations from the regional Meteorological department suggest an escalation in rainfall intensity across different parts of Odisha. Additionally, similar weather conditions are projected to prevail in the state for the next four days. Notably, Balangir and Nuapada recorded the highest daytime temperatures, reaching 40 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
