Two school principals suspended in Nabarangpur for violating election code

Bhubaneswar, April 29: The District Collector-cum-District Election Officer of Nabarangpur has taken decisive action, suspending two school principals for breaching the Election Commission's Model Code of Conduct for state employees. Following their suspension, the educators have been reassigned to their respective Block Education Offices (BEO).
Acting on reports, District Collector Kamal Lochan Mishra suspended Gautam Charan Sahu, the acting headmaster of Patarriguda Government High Primary School, and Manoj Kumar Bhatra, the acting headmaster of Pujariguda (B) Primary School under Dabugo block, on Sunday. Post-suspension, Bhatra has been stationed at the Dabugo Block Education Office.
Allegedly, both principals participated in a public meeting on 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian on April 26, prompting a written complaint from the BJP to the Chief Election Officer, Odisha. Consequently, the CEO instructed the District Collector to investigate the matter and take appropriate measures.
