PM Modi flags off third Vande Bharat Express to Odisha

Bhubaneswar, March 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the third Vande Bharat Express train bound for Odisha through a video conferencing program from Ahmedabad on Tuesday.
Among the 10 new Vande Bharat trains inaugurated during the event, the Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar Vande Bharat Express stands out as the third installment dedicated to Odisha.
Scheduled to operate six days a week, except on Saturdays, this train will depart from Bhubaneswar at 5:15 am and arrive in Vizag at 11 am. The return journey will commence at 3:30 pm from Vizag, reaching Bhubaneswar by 9:30 pm.
Initially proposed to run between Visakhapatnam and Puri, the originating station was later shifted to Bhubaneswar. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi initiated and laid the foundation stone for various railway projects valued at over Rs 85,000 crore nationwide, including several significant ventures in Odisha.
In Odisha alone, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 274 railway projects, encompassing 162 electronic interlocking systems, 41 One Station One Product (OSOP) stalls, 50 solar power stations, five goods sheds, nine new line, doubling, and third line projects, four auto signaling systems, one GatiSakthi terminal, one Jan Aushadhi Kendra, and one railway coach restaurant.
