CM Naveen boosts support for Urdu education in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, March 4: In a recent development, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has declared a substantial raise in the monthly remuneration of Urdu teachers across Odisha.
According to a statement released by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) today, the government has amplified the monthly remuneration of Urdu teachers stationed at Upper Primary, Middle English, and High Schools in the state. The remuneration has been elevated from Rs 7,400 to Rs 15,000.
Sources indicate that the state government has engaged Urdu teachers on a contractual basis in select schools within Odisha. These schools have seen a minimum of 10 students opting for Urdu as their primary language.
The CMO has disclosed that the remuneration hike will benefit a total of 44 Urdu teachers assigned to Upper Primary and Middle English schools, along with 40 Urdu teachers serving in High schools.
