Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Thursday began conducting the Plus II practical examinations across the state, marking a crucial phase of the academic calendar for higher secondary students. The practical exams will continue until January 15, officials said.
More than 2.35 lakh students from Science, Arts, Commerce, and Vocational streams are appearing for the examinations this year. Of them, around 1.32 lakh students belong to the Science stream, while over one lakh students from Arts, Commerce, and Vocational streams are also taking part in the practical tests.
According to CHSE sources, all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations. Examination centres have been instructed to strictly follow guidelines related to evaluation, attendance, and discipline during the practical sessions.
CHSE Examination Controller Prashant Parida confirmed that the board has completed all preparatory work in advance to avoid any inconvenience to students or examiners. He expressed confidence that the practical examinations would be conducted in a fair and orderly manner.
Notably, the completion of the practical exams will pave the way for the Plus II annual theory examinations, which are scheduled to be held from February 18 to March 25.
