Fresh complaint filed against manager of late singer Humane Sagar; human rights council seeks detailed probe
Bhubaneswar, May 29: Trouble continues to mount for Dinesh Behera, manager of late Odia singer Humane Sagar, as a fresh complaint was lodged against him at the Mahila Police Station in Cuttack on Saturday. The complaint, filed by the State Human Rights Council, has sought a comprehensive investigation into the events and circumstances that preceded the singer’s untimely death.
Members of the organisation have held Humane Sagar’s managers, Prashant Behera and Dinesh Behera, accountable for allegedly contributing to the distress that may have impacted the singer’s health. They have urged police authorities to initiate strict legal proceedings against both managers to ensure justice for the deceased artist and his family.
The complainants also alleged that Dinesh Behera used abusive and derogatory language towards Sagar’s mother and reportedly misbehaved with her, further aggravating tensions within the singer’s family.
It is important to recall that Humane Sagar, a beloved voice in Odia music, passed away on November 17 while receiving treatment for pneumonia and multiple organ failure at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. His death has triggered widespread outrage across Odisha, with various social and cultural organisations demanding a high-level inquiry to uncover the truth behind the troubling allegations.
