Music director Abhijit Majumdar likely to be discharged from AIIMS soon
Bhubaneswar, Dec 31: Renowned music director Abhijit Majumdar, who has been undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar, is likely to be discharged within the next one or two days, hospital authorities said.
Dr Ashutosh Biswas, Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, confirmed that Majumdar is now out of danger and his health condition has shown significant improvement. Doctors attending to him have expressed satisfaction over his recovery, stating that his vital parameters are stable.
According to reports, Abhijit Majumdar was admitted to AIIMS on September 4 after he developed serious neurological complications. His condition later worsened, leading to multiple organ failure, following which he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for critical care. After days of close monitoring and intensive treatment, his condition gradually improved. Hospital sources said that all his organs are now functioning normally and he is responding well to treatment.
Majumdar is one of the most prolific and respected music directors in the Odia film industry. Over his career, he has worked in more than 50 films, contributing as a composer and also lending his voice to several songs. He made his debut as a music director with the film Kashia Kapila in 2000 and has since carved a distinct identity in the industry.
