FIR filed against two managers of singer Humane Sagar; organisations demand thorough probe
Bhubaneswar, Nov 21: An FIR has been registered against two managers of popular Ollywood singer Humane Sagar, who passed away recently due to multi-organ failure while undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. The complaint, lodged at the Balangir Town Police Station, names Dinesh Behera and Prashant Behera, accusing them of criminal negligence and conspiracy in the singer’s death.
According to reports, several socio-cultural organisations in Balangir have also submitted written complaints demanding stringent action. They alleged that the managers forced Humane to continue working despite his deteriorating health, which they believe aggravated his medical complications. The organisations further claimed that the duo misbehaved with Humane's mother, Shefali Suna, and allegedly ignored her repeated appeals to shift her critically ill son to a more advanced medical facility.
The outfits have warned that they would call for an Odisha Bandh if a comprehensive and impartial investigation is not carried out.
Humane Sagar, who had been suffering from severe liver and kidney-related ailments, was admitted to AIIMS and placed on ventilator support. He battled complications including pneumonia, hepatopathy, thrombocytopenia, and coagulopathy. Despite intensive medical efforts, the beloved singer passed away on November 17, leaving a deep void in the Odia music fraternity.
