Subhadra Yojana funds to reach beneficiaries’ accounts by January 18: Pravati Parida
Bhubaneswar, Jan 13: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday announced that financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana will be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts by January 18. In this phase, a total of 4,57,681 women across the state will receive support, with the government transferring nearly Rs 250 crore.
Speaking to the media, Parida said the beneficiaries include 1,78,398 new recipients who will receive their first installment under the scheme. Additionally, 2,55,265 women who were earlier left out of previous installments will now receive both pending installments together. The beneficiary list has also been expanded after grievance redressal, adding 24,018 more women.
“Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries will receive the money by January 18. Around 4,57,000 women will benefit in this phase,” Parida stated. She clarified that pending installments will be disbursed in one go, while new beneficiaries will get a single installment.
The Subhadra Yojana is aimed at providing financial assistance to women from economically weaker sections, helping them achieve economic independence. The government has assured transparency and timely disbursal of funds.
