Governor meets Prime Minister, highlights Odisha’s development initiatives
Bhubaneswar, Mar 16: Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Monday said he had the honour of meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament in New Delhi to discuss the state’s ongoing development initiatives and future growth prospects.
During the meeting, the Governor briefed the Prime Minister on several developmental programmes currently underway across Odisha. He highlighted the steady progress the state is making in multiple sectors, including infrastructure, governance, and socio-economic development. According to the Governor, the discussion focused on the steps being taken by the state to strengthen its growth trajectory and ensure inclusive development.
Kambhampati also apprised the Prime Minister of various initiatives aimed at accelerating Odisha’s progress in alignment with the broader national vision of Viksit Odisha and Viksit Bharat. These initiatives are focused on improving connectivity, boosting economic activities, and enhancing opportunities for people across the state.
The Governor noted that the interaction provided a valuable opportunity to share updates on Odisha’s development journey and discuss ways to further support the state’s long-term progress. He expressed confidence that continued cooperation between the state and the Centre would help accelerate Odisha’s transformation and contribute significantly to India’s overall development goals.
