Odisha reschedules SPOT admissions for UG, PG, and professional courses
Bhubaneswar, Oct 29: The Higher Education Department of Odisha has announced a revised schedule for SPOT admissions to Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), B.Ed./M.Ed., LL.B., and Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. courses under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) for the 2025–26 academic session.
The department stated that the rescheduling was necessary due to the disruptions caused by Cyclone ‘Montha’, which affected many parts of the state. The new schedule has been issued to ensure a smooth and fair admission process for all students.
According to the revised timeline, physical reporting of applicants for submission of the Common Application Form (CAF) and required documents at their respective Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) will now be held on October 30, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Applicants must report in person, though a representative with valid ID proof may attend on their behalf.
The merit list of reported applicants will be published by HEIs on November 1, 2025, at 2 p.m., both on notice boards and institutional websites. Subsequently, the reporting of waitlisted candidates, document verification, and final admission will be conducted from November 3 to 6, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admissions fees will be collected online through Net Banking, Bank Challan, NEFT, or UPI, and all data must be updated in the HEIs’ e-space by 11:45 a.m. on November 6, 2025. The department has urged all applicants and institutions to strictly follow the revised schedule to ensure timely completion of the admission process.
