Two youths killed after motorcycle crashes into temple gate in Ganjam

Bhubaneswar, July 14: In a tragic road accident, two young men lost their lives after their motorcycle crashed into the gate of Maa Sinhasani Temple at Tini Chhak under Polasara police limits in Ganjam district late Sunday night.
The deceased have been identified as Deepak Nayak and Arat Nayak, both 20 years old and residents of Mangalpur village. According to sources, the duo was riding at high speed when they lost control of the bike and slammed into the temple gate. The impact of the collision was so severe that both youths died on the spot due to critical head and body injuries.
Upon receiving information, a team from Polasara police station rushed to the accident site and launched an investigation. The bodies were recovered and first taken to Polasara Community Health Centre for post-mortem. Later, they were shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur for further examination.
Police have seized the damaged motorcycle and registered a case. Efforts are underway to determine whether poor visibility, reckless driving, or any mechanical failure led to the fatal mishap. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the local community.
