Bhubaneswar, Dec 6: Income Tax Department officials conducted coordinated search operations on various premises associated with Boudh Distillery Private Ltd (BDPL) in Odisha on Wednesday. The searches were executed at locations linked to the distillery in Boudh, Balangir, Rayagada, and Sambalpur. Additionally, raids took place at the company’s registered offices in Kolkata and Ranchi.

The Income Tax Department focused on at least five locations connected to BDPL in connection with suspected tax evasion. I-T officials reportedly carried out searches at the residences of the company’s directors and managing director.

Headquartered in Odisha, the BDPL group has a presence in different parts of the state and operates various business divisions. These include Baldeo Sahu Infra Private Ltd (specializing in Fly Ash Bricks), Kwality Bottlers Pvt Ltd (engaged in IMFL Bottling), and Kishore Prasad Bijay Prasad Beverages Pvt Ltd (responsible for Sales & Marketing of IMFL brands).
