Weather alert: Anticipated cyclonic storm to trigger rainfall across these Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar, Dec 1: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Odisha has forecasted rainfall in several districts starting from December 3 due to an anticipated cyclonic storm over the Bay of Bengal, expected to make landfall between Chennai and Machilipatnam by the evening of December 4.
Here's the day-wise weather forecast for Odisha related to the impending weather system:
December 3: Anticipated light to moderate rain or thundershowers in a few areas across Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, some coastal districts, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
December 4: Expected light to moderate rain or thundershowers in multiple places within Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Puri, a few coastal districts, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Boudh, and sporadic areas across Odisha. There's a prediction of heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) in select locations of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Ganjam (Yellow Warning).
December 5: Likely light to moderate rain or thundershowers in most areas of south coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, and significant parts of the remaining districts. There's a potential for heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) in specific spots of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Ganjam (Orange Warning). Additionally, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is expected in select areas of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khordha, and Puri (Yellow Warning).
