Bhubaneswar, April 13: In a shocking incident from Nabarangapur district, a man allegedly murdered his wife and concealed her body inside a toilet septic tank in Bargaon village under Raighar police limits, sending shockwaves across the region.

The crime came to light after the couple’s four-year-old son revealed the chilling details before villagers. According to reports, the child stated that his father had killed his mother and hidden her body in the toilet tank, leaving locals stunned.

The accused, identified as Subash Gond, had reportedly attended a wedding with his wife Manei Gond on Saturday. After returning home around noon, an argument broke out between the couple. In a fit of rage, Subash allegedly killed his wife in front of their children. He is said to have kept the body inside the house during the day and later, around midnight, dragged it to the toilet and dumped it into the septic tank.

On Sunday, the accused allegedly tried to mislead villagers by claiming that his wife had left home. However, growing suspicion led to repeated questioning, during which the child disclosed the truth.

Police reached the spot, recovered the body, and arrested the accused. Investigation is underway.
