CPET 2026 schedule announced; exams from May 5 to 16
Bhubaneswar, April 8: The State Selection Board (SSB) has announced the schedule for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) 2026, which will be conducted across Odisha from May 5 to May 16, 2026.
The CPET will be held for admission into 50 postgraduate subjects offered by universities and colleges across the state. Each day, the examination will be conducted in two sessions—morning (10:00 AM to 11:40 AM) and afternoon (3:00 PM to 4:40 PM).
On the opening day, May 5, candidates appearing for subjects such as Commerce, Biotechnology, Sociology, Environmental Science, Education, and Anthropology (Arts) will take their exams.
This year, a total of 58,708 candidates have applied for 31,915 postgraduate seats, indicating intense competition. The selection of candidates will be strictly based on marks obtained in the CPET.
Admit cards will be available for download from April 30, 2026, on the official SSB website. Candidates are advised to check their details carefully and prepare in advance for the examination as per the notified schedule.
