KIIT Bhubaneswar to host grand finale of 61st Femina Miss India on April 18
Bhubaneswar, Mar 12: In a historic first for eastern India, the grand finale of the 61st Femina Miss India pageant will be held at the KIIT University campus in Bhubaneswar on April 18, 2026. The prestigious national event will mark the first time that the grand finale of the renowned beauty pageant is being hosted in eastern India and also the first time an Indian university will serve as the venue.
This year’s edition carries the theme “Connecting the DOTS – Daughters of This Soil,” celebrating the diversity, strength, and spirit of Indian womanhood. A total of 30 contestants, representing 30 states across the country, will compete on a single stage, highlighting the rich cultural heritage and talent of young women from different regions of India.
The partnership between KIIT and Femina Miss India was formalized on Wednesday through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement was signed in the presence of KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta. KIIT Vice-Chancellor Saranjit Singh, KIIT School of Architecture Director General SS Ray, and Times Group CEO Rohit Gopakumar also attended the ceremony.
The event is being organised jointly by Worldwide Media and KIIT. Reigning titleholders Nikita Porwal, Rekha Pandey, and Aayushi Dholakia are expected to attend the grand event.
