CM Mohan Charan Majhi mourns death of minor in Puri road accident, announces ₹4 lakh ex-gratia
Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of Shreyansh Dey, who lost his life in a road accident at Balgandi Chhak in Puri district on Friday. The incident has sent a wave of grief across the state, with the Chief Minister describing it as extremely painful and heartbreaking.
Taking to social media platform X, Chief Minister Majhi conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. He expressed solidarity with the family members and extended his sympathies during this difficult time, acknowledging the irreparable loss they have suffered.
In a gesture of support and compassion, the Chief Minister announced an ex-gratia assistance of ₹4 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to the nearest kin of the deceased. The financial aid is aimed at providing some relief to the family as they cope with the sudden tragedy.
Chief Minister Majhi also wished the family strength and courage to endure the immense emotional pain caused by the untimely demise of Shreyansh Dey. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to standing by citizens in times of distress.
