Bhubaneswar, Sept 26: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Jharsuguda, Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania on Friday personally reviewed the elaborate security arrangements at Amlipali, where the Prime Minister is set to address a major youth convention on Saturday.
The DGP carried out a detailed inspection of the venue, checking the preparedness of the security personnel and facilities in place. He examined the route from the helipad to the convention ground and parking area, stressing the importance of smooth movement for the Prime Minister’s convoy and the safety of thousands of participants expected at the event. Special focus was laid on crowd management, surveillance camera placement, and public entry checkpoints to avoid any inconvenience.
In addition, a convoy rehearsal was conducted from the airport to Amlipali, covering the 2.5-kilometre stretch. Senior police officers accompanied the Prime Minister’s designated vehicle during the mock drill, ensuring seamless coordination.
