New Delhi, Oct 6: India emerged victorious in final, defeating Japan with an impressive score of 5-1 in the men's hockey tournament at the Asian Games held on Friday. This outstanding triumph not only earned India the coveted gold medal but also guaranteed their participation in the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
India's skipper, Harmanpreet Singh, proved to be a key player in this resounding victory, netting two goals in the 32nd and 59th minutes. The Indian team's success was further bolstered by goals from Manpreet Singh (25th min), Amit Rohidas (36th min), and Abhishek (48th min).
