Bhubaneswar, Oct 3: In a tragic incident, a youth from Baniya Sahi in Odisha's Cuttack district took his own life after suffering significant financial losses in online games. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Karaj, a resident of the Salipur area.

According to reports, Manoj became addicted to online gaming, which led to heavy financial losses. In desperation, he borrowed money from several individuals but lost those funds as well. Unable to cope with the pressure of repaying the debts, Manoj left home three days ago without informing his family.

Concerned about his absence, his family searched for him and eventually lodged a missing person’s complaint with the police. Tragically, his body was found hanging from a tree on Thursday morning.

Fire Services personnel recovered Manoj's body, and local authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. The incident highlights the growing dangers of online gaming addiction and its severe consequences on mental health.
