Bhubaneswar, Sept 9: In a tragic road accident in Odisha, two motorbike riders were killed and another sustained critical injuries after their two-wheeler collided with a truck parked on the roadside. The accident occurred near Bant Chhack under Town Thana police jurisdiction in Bhadrak district late Sunday night.

The deceased have been identified as Shivsundar Mahapatra from Pathaadi and Saurabh Mishra, a minor from Barikpur. The injured rider, whose identity is still unknown, has been admitted to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

Reports indicate that the three friends were traveling from Charampa to Bant on a motorbike. They were driving on the wrong side of the road when they crashed into the stationary truck. Following the collision, the riders were thrown from their vehicle. Local residents rushed them to Bhadrak HH, where doctors pronounced two of them dead upon arrival.

The police are currently investigating the incident.
