Search continues for Odisha doctor Swadhin Panda after Kerala landslides
Bhubaneswar, Aug 1: Odia doctor Swadhin Panda, who went missing during the Kerala landslides, is yet to be found, and the search continues. Two doctors from Odisha disappeared following the devastating landslide in Kerala’s Wayanad late on Monday night. However, their wives were rescued and are currently receiving treatment.
The missing doctors have been identified as Dr. Bishnuprasad Chinnara from Chowdwar and his friend Dr. Swadhin Panda. On Wednesday, Minister Suresh Pujari confirmed that the body of Dr. Bishnuprasad Chinnara had been found in Kerala.
Meanwhile, Dr. Swadhin Panda remains missing. The Odisha State Relief Commissioner (SRC) has been in communication with the Kerala SRC regarding the situation.
Reports indicate that Bishnuprasad Chinnara, his wife Priyadarsini Pal, Dr. Swadhin Panda, and his friend Swikruti Mohapatra left Bengaluru for an outing on July 26, eventually staying at Linara Villa in Wayanad. Following the landslide, both doctors went missing, but Priyadharini Pal and Swikruti Mohapatra were rescued and are being treated at a temporary medical center.
