No summer slumber: NEET/JEE aspirants stay busy with online coaching

Bhubaneswar, April 27: Due to the ongoing heatwave in Odisha, the state government has declared summer vacation for schools and higher secondary institutions starting Thursday.

However, the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education has mandated online coaching sessions for NEET and JEE aspirants until 10 am daily, excluding Sundays and public holidays. Additionally, educators are encouraged to utilize the vacation period for academic activities.

Throughout the vacation, teachers will assign homework to students to keep them engaged. Students can clarify doubts by contacting subject teachers or class teachers via phone. Where necessary, class teachers will engage with students and parents. Teachers and staff will be on duty rotation during the summer break, with all activities meticulously recorded. Admissions will be facilitated from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.

In light of upcoming general elections, the Directorate has instructed principals and staff of higher secondary schools not to leave their headquarters without prior authorization from higher authorities.
