Healthcare services at doorstep launched by Odisha based start-up VKareU

Healthcare services at doorstep launched by Odisha based start-up VKareU

Bhubaneswar April 30, 2022:VkareU, a Bhubaneswar based healthcare start-up today officially launched its operation in the city to provide health service at doorstep of citizens. Company aims to bring quality healthcare solutions to doorstep by providing doctor, nurse, pharmacist, physiotherapist, medicine, etc. through its futuristic app. 

Smt Sulochana Das, Mayor, Bhubaneswarhas launched the VKareU app in presence of Dr Lalatendu Sarangi, Director, Acharya Harihara Regional Cancer Research Centre , Cuttack, eminent actress Smt Anu Choudhury, Co-Founder & Director, VKareU, Shri Binod Agarwalla, and Radha Agrawal, Director, VKareU and senior members of the company.

Unveiling the VKareU app, Smt Sulochana Das, Mayor, Bhubaneswarshe thanked the promoters for this initiative in the city and said that, “I believe VKareUservice will be very beneficial for the people particularly for the senior citizens of the city who can get doorstep medical services. I wish this initiative all success and hope it will go to other cities as well.”

Addressing the gathering Shri Binod Agarwalla, Co-Founder & Director, VKareU said that, “At VKareU, we are committed to bring quality healthcare service to people of Odisha. Through this platform, patients and their family members will have access to affordable primary healthcare services at their doorstep. Health professionals and associates will get better job opportunities to utilize their skills and grow with the business.”

Patients will access various essential healthcare services through VKareU mobile app on real time basis. Odisha based VkareU has bouquets of services to deliver which includes doctor, nurse, physiotherapist and lab test with lab technician at home, sample collection, door step medicine delivery services. It will leverage power of technology to provide all services at patient’s doorstep through the mobile app.

VKareU has a team of about 100 doctors,200 nurses, 150 Physiotherapists, 150 Pharmacists and National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) certified labs to offer service in the city of Bhubaneswar. Company has plans to extend its service to other cities of Odisha like Cuttack, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Bargarh and Balesore by the end of this year. It envisions expanding its footprint pan India by 2025 phase wise.

Company assures to prevent unnecessary visit to hospital of patient suffering from chronic diseases like cancer, neurological, post ICU, palliative care, orthopedic, respiratory, diabetes, and post-surgery. It will give a sense of relaxation to family members who can go to work and simultaneously giving care to their loved one.Only certified medical professional will visit their house at the prefixed date and time. It will become helpful to save time of patients and her care takers and also save money on transport and consultation. 

On this occasion, a panel discussion was held on the topic ‘Future in Healthcare-Beyond Tele-Medicine’ where eminent doctors from different parts of India participated and shared their views. Dr Sunil Agarwal moderated the discussion and panelists included Dr Pawan Gupta, Max Hospital, New Delhi, Dr Arnab Gupta, SGCCRI, Kolkata, Dr Shishir Shetty, Apollo, Navi Mumbai, Dr Sumit Goyal, RGCI, New Delhi, Dr Sushant Paikray, AMRI, Bhubaneswar, Dr Madhabananda Kar, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, Dr Surendra Nath Senapati, AHRCC, Cuttack, Dr Sukdev Nayak, Bhubaneswar and Dr Ghanashyam Biswas, Sparsh Hospital, Bhubaneswar.

Patients and partners of the company shared their experience in the session ‘treat me as a person, not as a container of disease which was followed by cultural night.
