CHSE extends deadline for Plus II answer script rechecking applications
Bhubaneswar, June 29: The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha (CHSE) has extended the deadline for students to apply for rechecking and re-addition of marks in the Higher Secondary Examination answer scripts, giving candidates additional time to complete the process.
According to an official notification issued by Controller of Examinations Prasanta Kumar Parida, the application window, which was originally scheduled to remain open from June 19 to June 30, 2026, has now been extended until July 4, 2026.
The council said the decision was taken after reviewing the existing schedule to provide greater convenience to students seeking a review of their examination results. The revised notification has been circulated to principals and headmasters of higher secondary schools and colleges across the state, directing them to inform eligible students about the extended deadline.
CHSE has advised applicants to first download the scanned copies of their answer scripts before submitting their requests for rechecking or re-addition of marks. The council emphasized that applications must be completed within the revised schedule to be considered.
Students who believe there has been an error in the evaluation or totaling of marks can avail themselves of this opportunity by following the prescribed procedure.
The examination authority has also clarified that no applications will be accepted after July 4, 2026. Students have been urged not to wait until the last date and to complete the application process well in advance to avoid technical or procedural difficulties.
