Bhubaneswar, May 19: Odisha Vigilance officials have uncovered substantial movable and immovable assets during ongoing raids on properties linked to Bhubaneswar Sabar, who is currently serving as Executive Engineer of R&B Sub-Division, Dharmagarh, and also holding additional charge of the R&B Division in Bhawanipatna.

According to Vigilance sources, simultaneous searches were conducted at six locations in connection with allegations of possession of disproportionate assets beyond known sources of income. During the raids, officials detected four multi-storeyed buildings, 33 plots measuring around 39.64 acres of land, a farmhouse spread over nine acres and a market complex comprising eight cabins.

Among the key properties identified are a double-storeyed building measuring approximately 4,500 square feet at Gosanimunda in Bhawanipatna and another double-storeyed house at Kusumkhunti in Koksara. Two more double-storeyed buildings under construction and a market complex at Moter Chhak in Koksara were also detected.

The Vigilance team further found a farmhouse spread across nine acres at Kitpadar near Bhawanipatna along with a Hyundai Creta vehicle. Officials said the valuation and detailed measurement of the seized assets are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.

Investigators are also examining bank deposits, postal savings and other financial investments linked to the engineer. Searches are still underway and more details are expected to emerge as the probe progresses.
