Ollywood actor Satyaki Mishra alleges death threats over ancestral property dispute
Bhubaneswar, Feb 9: Renowned Ollywood actor Satyaki Mishra has alleged that he and his family have received death threats amid a deepening dispute over ancestral property and ownership rights of a prominent business establishment in Cuttack.
The conflict revolves around Cuttack Student Store, a well-known bookstore and publishing house situated in Balubazar, which has long been at the centre of a familial disagreement. According to Mishra’s complaint, his cousins — Sabyasachi Mishra and Saumitri Mishra, sons of his elder uncles — are allegedly trying to forcibly take control of the establishment.
Mishra alleged that on the evening of February 6, the accused entered his residence, verbally abused family members, and threatened to kill his 84-year-old father, Nrusingha Prasad Mishra. He further claimed that the duo misbehaved with the women in the household, creating an atmosphere of fear.
Following the incident, the actor lodged a written complaint at Puri Ghat police station. However, alleging inadequate police action so far, he approached the DCP’s office seeking urgent intervention, security for his family, and legal action against the accused.
