Bhubaneswar, Oct 25: Renowned Odia singer and music composer Abhijit Majumdar continues to fight for his life at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, where he has been in a coma for several weeks. Despite the relentless efforts of the medical team, there has been no significant improvement in his neurological condition.

According to the latest health bulletin from AIIMS, Abhijit remains on a spontaneous mode ventilator, with his vitals stable but brain activity showing no progress. An MRI brain scan conducted on October 23 also revealed no major changes, prompting doctors to continue with supportive treatment while carefully attempting to wean him off the ventilator.

The popular music director was initially admitted to a private hospital in Cuttack on August 27 after falling ill following a Ganesh Puja event. As his condition worsened, he was moved to another hospital’s ICU and later referred to AIIMS Bhubaneswar on September 4.

Doctors have diagnosed Abhijit with hypertension, hypothyroidism, chronic liver disease, and neurological complications. Fans and well-wishers across Odisha continue to pray for his speedy recovery and return to good health.
