Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: Renowned Ollywood actor Uttam Mohanty has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after his health deteriorated on Saturday morning. His family rushed him for emergency medical care, and he has since been placed on a ventilator.

While doctors have not yet disclosed the exact nature of his illness, sources suggest that Mohanty has been battling health issues for some time. His sudden hospitalization has left fans and colleagues deeply concerned.

A native of Baripada in Mayurbhanj district, Uttam Mohanty is a legend in Odia cinema, having acted in over 135 Odia films, 30 Bengali films, and one Hindi film. His contribution to the industry spans several decades.

Mohanty is married to Odia actress Aparajita Mohanty, and their son, Babushan Mohanty, is also a prominent actor. As news of his hospitalization spreads, well-wishers and industry colleagues are praying for his swift recovery.
