Odisha gears up for Amit Shah’s two-day visit from February 5
Bhubaneswar, Feb 27: The Odisha government has stepped up preparations for the two-day visit of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, scheduled to begin on February 5. A high-level review meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, was held to ensure seamless arrangements for the visit.
According to official sources, Shah will arrive in Bhubaneswar on the evening of February 5. On February 6, he will attend the CISF Foundation Day ceremony at Mundali in Cuttack. Later in the day, he is slated to perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in Khurda and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) campus in Bhubaneswar.
He will also virtually inaugurate the NFSU Transit Campus and unveil an exhibition on the new criminal laws, Nyaya Sanhita, before laying foundation stones and inaugurating projects at the IDCO Exhibition Ground.
Authorities have directed beautification and black-topping of the Godisahi–Mundali Road for the event. Senior officials, including the DGP and district administrators, reviewed security, traffic management and venue preparedness, with instructions to ensure timely and coordinated execution of all arrangements.
